Accompany Employer Visa

You are not entitled to work in Ireland and you must intend to leave after a maximum of 90 days stay.

It is not possible to change your status while in Ireland.

If you are a visa-required national and going to Ireland to accompany your employer you should present the following with your visa application:

  • Passport (please include a photocopy of the passport bio page, all visas and all stamps)

  • Two (2) copies of the signed summary of your online application form. Please refer to our Application Forms section for details.

  • Two (2) passport sized colour photos taken in the past six months that meets our specifications

  • Photocopy of Hong Kong Identity card

  • Full contact details (address and daytime number)

  • An original letter of invitation from your employer. This letter should detail the nature and duration of the proposed visit and state the employer will bear responsibility for the applicant's accommodation and maintenance costs while in Ireland. Also both the applicant and the inviter stating that they will adhere to the conditions of the visa and will return to applicant's country of residence once applicant visit is complete and within the time limits of the visa.

  • Photocopy of the employer's passport bio page

  • The employee must be in the present employment for at least one year when lodging the visa application. A copy of current employment contract (and original for verification)

  • Evidence that sufficient funds will be available to you during your stay in Ireland. This should be in the form of a bank statement or equivalent document from your employer. The document should cover a period of at least six months prior to the date of application

Additional documents or information may be required.

 

 

 

Note to Applicants
Please prepare TWO [non double-sided] photocopies of all required documents when submitting your application. If you do not supply a photocopy the original document will not be returned to you.

We regret that we do not provide photocopying services at the Consulate.

We aim to make a decision on your application as soon as possible however, please allow 10 working days for your application to be processed.
